Not long after he had retired our long-serving Managing
Director, Roger Barker, sadly passed away on 5th June 2015.
To commemorate his enormous contribution to The Sir Nigel Gresley Locomotive Trust and to the continued operation of 4498 / 60007 Sir Nigel Gresley, the Trust will be naming our support coach "The Roger Barker Coach". We believe this is a fitting and permanent tribute to Roger who will henceforth always be with 60007 when operating on the mainline. |
Any SNGLT Members and others who may wish to be part of
this commemoration can contribute to a fund in Roger's name which will be
used for the upcoming overhaul of the coach {any excess from this fund will be
transferred to the locomotive overhaul fund}.
