    Photo: P071. After working a morning Blackmore Vale Express from Salisbury to Yeovil Junction and return on the 18th October 1986, 4498 is stabled in the bay platform. The Class 33, 33007, had brought the Network South East special train to Salisbury from Waterloo earlier in the day. Hall Class 6998 Burton Agnes Hall repeated the steam hauled itinerary in the afternoon.

The headboard, 'Julian's Farewell' was a tribute to Julian Riddick who had been the Chairman of the A4 Locomotive Society and a major driving force behinds its activities in the early days. Julian died unexpectedly in 1997.
